And the gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. (Matthew 24:14)
The BIBLE
The Bible is the inspired, infallible word of God; profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction and righteous instruction. (2nd Timothy 3:16) The Bible is the only God-given authority which man possesses, upon which all instruction for God's church must be based. It is to be read and studied by all men everywhere, as non of its interpreted prophecy is private. (2 Peter 1:20-21)
The One True God
There is one true, everliving, eternal God. He is infinite in power, Holy in nature, attributes and purpose; and possessing absolute, indivisible deity. He has revealed himself as Father, through His Son, in redemption; and as the Holy spirit. (1st Corinthians 8:6; Eph. 4:6; 2nd Cor. 5:19; Joel 2:28). God is invisible, without parts or body and free from all limitations. He is spirit (John 4:24, Luke 24:39)
Hear O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord" (Deuteronomy 6:4, Mark 12:29, Eph 4:6)
This one true God manifested Himself in the Old Testament in divers ways
There is one God manifested himself in the Old testament in divers ways; in the Son while he walked among men, as the Holy Spirit after he ascdended.
-Jesus loves you! He is love! (1st John 4:8-11)
The Son of God
The Jehovah of the Old Testament took upon himself the form of man, was born of the virgin Mary. (Isaiah 7:14, 9:6; Matthew 1:21) He reconciled the world to himself. (2nd Cor. 5:19) We believe that, "...in Him (Jesus) dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily" (Colossians 2:9) and "...it pleased the Father that in Him should all fullness dwell" (Col. 1:19). Jesus in his humanity was man and in His deity was and is God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1st Timothy 2:5).
- The Bible presents Jesus as both the Son of God (divine) and the Son of man, or the God-man. "And when all things shall be subdued unto Him, then shall the Son also Himself be subject unto Him that put all things under Him, that God may be all in all" (1 Cor. 15:28).
The Name
In The Old Testament God is known through different titles such as: "God Elohim", "God Almighty", "El Shaddai", "Jehovah", and especially "Jehovah Lord" the redemptive name.
-"...Unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given...And his name shall be called Wonderful Counsellor, The Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace" (Isaiah 9:6)
-"And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call His name Jesus: for he shall save His people from their sins" (Matt. 1:21).
-"Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" (Acts 4:12)
Sin
Behold, I was shapen in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me. (Psalms 51:5)
-For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23).
Repentance and Conversion
Pardon and forgiveness of sins are obtained by genuine repentance, a confessing and forsaking of sins. We are justified by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1). John the Baptist preached repentance, Jesus proclaimed it, and the Apostles emphasized it to both Jews and Gentiles (Acts 2:38, 11:18, 17:30; Luke 13:3, Luke 13:3, 24:47).
Water Baptism
Water baptism by immersion is an important step in the salvation plan, and is for those who have fully and truly repented. The Bible teaches and illustrates the administering of baptism "in the name of Jesus" according to Acts 2:38; 8:16; 10:48; 19:5; thus obeying Matthew 28:19.
The Baptism of the Holy Ghost
The promise of the Holy Ghost is not for a select group, but is a free gift available to all (Acts 2:39)!
-One does not receive the Holy Ghost without speaking in tongues. The initial sign of the Holy Ghost infilling is speaking in an unknown, unlearned language. (Acts 2:4, 38; Acts 8:16-18; 10:46; 19:6)
Divine Healing
The vicarious suffering of the Lord Jesus Christ paid for the healing of our bodies, the same as for the salvation of our souls, for "..with His stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5, Matt 8:17; James 5:16-17)
Communion & Foot-Washing
There is spiritual significance and blessing in partaking of the emblems of the sacrament. "And he took bread, and gave thanks and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, this is my body which is given for you: This do in remembrance of me..." (Luke 22:19-20)
-At the end of the Passover, "He riseth from supper, and laid aside His garments; and took a towel, and girded Himself. After that He poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith He was girded." Since Jesus gave the first example of this divine institution, it is well to follow his examples; thus manifesting the spirit of humility.
The Grace Of God & Holiness
"For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and Godly, in this present world." (Titus 2:11 & 12)
"For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ." (John 1:17)
A Christian must walk with God and keep himself in the love of God (Jude 21) and in the grace of God to remain saved. The word "grace" means "favor". When a person transgresses and sins against God, he loses his favor. If he continues to commit sin and does not repent, he will not enter the kingdom of Heaven. (John 15:2 & 6; 2nd Peter 2:20-22)
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God" (Eph. 2:8)
Marriage and Divorce
"So God created man in his own image, in the of God created hi him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living that that moveth upon the earth." (Genesis 1:27-28)
We believe and practice what & how the scriptures teach and illustrate marriage as a covenant between a man and a woman. To sustain our belief and convictions, we will only marry a man and a woman.
Tithing
We believe tithing is God's financial plan to provide for his work, and has been since the days of Abraham by faith. Moses' law enjoined it. Jesus endorsed it (Malachi 3; Matt 23:23)!
Second Coming
We believe and anticipate the second coming of Jesus Christ as he went away. Matt 24; Acts 1:11, 3:19-21; 1 Cor 11:26, Phil. 3:20-21; 1 Thess 4:14-17; Titus 2:13-14)
The Right Attitude
Holy living begins by making sure our spirit is right. The right spirit permits a person to be spiritual and to be free from the law of sin and death. And as such, this life is intentionally lived to entertain a positive position in overcoming evil forces in this world and is positioned for spiritual victory rather than condemnation.
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another." (Galations 5:22-26)
